Mr. Peter Hiscocks

  Cambridge Enterprise supports the academics within the University of Cambridge in the effective commercialisation of their inventions and business concepts. Cambridge Enterprise was established recently as a result of the integration of all the University commercialisation activities (the Technology Transfer Office; the University Challenge Fund; the University Venture Capital Fund; the Cambridge Entrepreneurship Centre and CUTS Ltd).

  Prior to his appointment as at the University, Peter Hiscocks was Managing Partner for Integral Europe Ltd, a business consulting firm founded by Kim Clark (Dean of Harvard Business School) and Steven Wheelwright, that specialises in advising clients on the management of innovation and business development. Clients included Unilever, BT, Glaxo Wellcome and Novartis.

  Before this Peter was a Director of Scientific Generics, where he worked for 8 years; previously he spent 10 years in industry at Fisons and TI.

  Peter has taught the Innovation Management module of the University of Cambridge Judge Institute of Management MBA since 1994 and also teaches at LBS. He has spoken at a number of conferences on Entrepreneurship and Innovation including the European Economic Forum (part of the World Economic Forum) and the Institute of Financial Engineers. He has also published a number of articles on innovation management and core competencies and is the inventor on six pending patents. He is a Director of Progressive Asset Management Ltd; Cambridgeshire Business Services; Toric Ltd; Visit4 Ltd; and is on the Advisory Board of GRP Venture Capital.
